A dish garden is a group of plants arranged in a shallow “dish”. I call them indoor container gardens because they are smaller in scale than what you would normally plant outside, and they are filled with houseplants that are more tolerant of interior lighting, temperatures, and moisture conditions than usual landscape plants.
There are two ways to plant a dish garden. One method is to remove your plants from their nursery pots and put them in potting mix, exactly like you would in an outdoor container garden. But I prefer to just arrange each individual plant.
